Imagine Your Story! At home!

We are so excited to bring you a new and interesting twist to our Summer Reading Program!

Due to Covid-19 and restrictions on library access and social distancing, all reading logs will be done digitally through a service called Wandoo Reader. With this service, you can keep track of time spent reading, find and participate in fun challenges to do at home or out in the community, and earn prizes. This is also an interactive part where you earn points for different activities and can create and edit a character related to our theme.

The challenges include at home activities, like reading to others or doing a craft with things you can find at home, as well as activities to get out of the house, like community scavenger hunts! Feel free to share pictures of your arts and crafts projects with the library via our Facebook page or email them to us at And check this page and Facebook often to see what others are creating! We can't wait to see what you come up with!

We will be doing weekly prize drawings for kids and teens, and will have a prize pack for finishers who will also be entered into a grand prize drawing.

There is a program for Kids and a program for Teens, and each program has different reading goals and challenges. Both can be accessed from a family account (found below the login box, link labled "Enter Family Management Portal"), or separately for each individual child.

Community Scavenger Hunt

Young readers enrolled in the Summer Reading Program are invited to take the Scavenger Hunt Challenge! Once a week, we will be posting a picture of an interesting object in the Village of Dimondale. Along with the picture will be a caption that might give you a clue where to find it. If you find the object, please DO NOT MOVE IT! These are fixtures on private or public property and do not belong to the library. Your goal is simply to find them! Once you have found it, send an email to with SCAVENGER HUNT in the Subject line, and the location of the object (nearest building or address) and your name and phone number in the body of the email. You can even email us a picture of you with the object or the address of the object. All correct answers will be entered into a weekly prize drawing! Get scavenging!

Week 8 (8/3-8/10): Our last week!
