Summer Reading 2021

Our Summer Reading Program for 2021 is Tails & Tales, and offers summer fun for kids!

The 2021 Summer Reading Program, Tails & Tales, begins Monday June 21st and runs through August 13th. The program is for read-to-me preschoolers to independent readers to age 18.

Sign up begins on June 21st. Once registered, readers will track their reading on a reading log. If you read during the day, mark a box on the log. It’s the easiest reading program ever! Read anything, read any amount of time, and mark the log!

To minimize in-person contact, readers will present their logs to collect prizes at the half way point, and again when the log is full, when readers will collect a free ice cream certificate and become eligible for the grand prize drawings. There will be six grand prizes! Everyone who completes the program gets free ice cream from The Village Ice Cream and Café Shop!

The library will have three events:

June 23rd at 6pm, Potter Park Zoo presents Tales and Tails via Zoom. Please register for this event.

July 17 is the Dimondale-wide Tails & Tales Scavenger Hunt (weather permitting). Contestants will find five locations for the scavenger hunt for a prize drawing. Pick up a map at the library or watch for the yellow balloons! Walk it, bike it, bring the family!

Just for teens, we will be offering an online state-wide scavenger hunt, called MiLibrary Quest, running from June 1 to July 31. Check here for more details.

Prizes available while supplies last.
