Michigan eLibrary
The Michigan eLibrary, or MeL, is a wonderful online resource for interlibrary loans across Michigan, called MeLCat, and online databases for a wide variety of research. The Dorothy Hull Library is a part of MeL and thus is accessible to anyone with a library card.
MelCat
MeLCat is an online catalog service that allows patrons of participating libraries to borrow materials - books, movies, music, and more - from all over Michigan and have them delivered to their home library.
How to Request Items on MeLCat
Here's our handy guide for finding materials through MeLCat's interlibrary loan system.
-
- Open the MeL website.
- Click into the grey search box and type whatever material title, author or other key word you are looking for and click the blue “Find It!” button.
- Choose your title from the search results that appear by clicking on the blue “Get This for Me!” button
- Login to the account using your Melcat library account of “Dorothy Hull Library” , your name and your library card number.
- Click the blue “Submit” button
If the order is successful, the materials will be delivered to the Dorothy Hull Library. You will be contacted by our library when your materials arrive.
